Purpose, Mission, Raison d'Etre

We love the French language. 23 1/2 years of French classes between us, and we can barely cobble a sentence together. After years of dreading being called on by the teacher, giggled at by fellow students, and sighed at by French shopgirls, we've decided to embrace our inability and shamelessly express our love of the language through poetry.

The point of this blog is to unabashedly write French poetry using only our gradeschool knowledge. We don't use dictionaries. As you might expect, the poems make little sense....but why let sense get in the way of passion?

All pieces are written and then translated by a free translation service. We provide images in hopes that we can get our real point across. You are welcome to submit your own for posting at mauvaisfrancais@gmail.com .
